Do you want to share the HEN mission and vision with others but lack the funding? Have you been asked to present by an organization that has minimal funds?
For the second year, funds are available to assist HEN members who are sharing our mission and vision with others. Scholarship recipients are eligible to receive up to $500. Last year's scholarship recipients presented topics related to:
- New Approaches to Feeding the World
- Sustainable Agriculture
- Media and Media Literacy in Food and Nutrition Education
- A Film Festival regarding Hunger and Environmental Food System Issues
Applications are being accepted now for the 2009-10 year. Scholarship recipients will be notified, in writing. Speakers event will also be added to the HEN website calendar. Recipients are asked to submit a short article about their speaking event for the Summer 2010 newsletter.
