Tackling Food Insecurity in Your Community
Thursday, May 12, 2016, 2:00-3:00pm ET (1:00pm CT, 12:00pm MT, 11:00am PT)
Food insecurity continues to be a pervasive issue in the United States, particularly for certain populations who face unique challenges to reliable food access. Community-based approaches to addressing food insecurity are crucial to effectively addressing barriers to food security in these populations. This webinar will explore several such approaches and the role Registered Dietitians (RD/RDNs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) working in a range of areas of practice can play in supporting better food security for their patient/client populations, and their community as a whole. This webinar is hosted collaboratively with the Muslims in Dietetics and Nutrition MIG, and the Hunger and Environmental Nutrition DPG of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
This webinar will be recorded and made available on the HEN website if you are unable to attend the live event.
